Country Homes & Interiors - 5 Put to the test Lip Balms
Regenerating Lip Balm, £9.90 for 15ml, Madara.
I loved the creamy consistency and light fruity scent. This really felt like it was moisturising my lips well and banished any flaky bits in a flash.

Madara, a delightful ethical brand that hails from Latvia - worth checking out if you like your skincare green.
I love their Toning shower Soap (£10/200ml). Lightly fragranced and gentle on the skin, it‘s Step One of a Three-step programm to combat cellulite and strech marks, and has great ingredients such as Baltic algae, horsetail, hawthorn and horsechesnut to stimulate and tone the skin. I‘ve not tested the other products in the programme, but I‘d certainly use this daily and can‘t wait to stock up on more madara.

The scalp... Numerous shampoo and conditioners use the dreaded SLS, as well as many other harmful synthetics which are directly absorbed into the bloodstream through this delicate area. For many of us who wash our hair every day, this toxic build up can cause an array of problems, such as eye and scalp irritation, and tangled, split and fizzy hair. Luckily, we are now spoilt for choice with the variety of natural and organic hair products available for our merry usage.
Madara eco hair Nourish and Repair Shampoo is an excellent botanical based product, certified natural and organic by Ecocert. Its clever combination of plantain, nettle and quince cleanses and nourishes dry, damaged hair leaving it naurally shiny and lustrous.
Beauty Truths Not Ugly Lies - Madara Deep Replenishing Cream 50ml - £25.00
In winter, our skin is more prone to dehydration and the MÁDARA Deep Replenishing Cream helps to improve the skin‘s ability to retain water, making the skin look younger and more radiant. This rich cream provides long lasting hydration and nourishment, while protecting and repairing damaged skin.
Like all the MÁDARA products that I have tried it smells sensational. All products are natural and organic and this cream is no exception. It glides onto the skin as gracefully as a swan to water. It gently soaks in to your face and changes dull skin to dazzling skin instantly. It kept my skin, nourished, protected, supple and cared for.
It is no wonder that MÁDARA is a multi award winning company, they go for strength to strength with effortlessly gorgeous products. I for one can not wait to see what else they come up with! It optimises what true beauty is about, its organic and natural.

Hands can reveal secret of true age if you don‘t care for them - Which one gives skin so smooth?
Madara Deep Moisture Hand Cream 75ml - £9.00
This has the lovely feel of luxury from an organic range of cosmetics manufactured in Latvia from natural products of flower and herb extracts sourced in the Baltics.
The initial mell is of marzipan - although the ingredients list says it contains parsley, linden flower, chamomile, quince and cranberry. It has a nice feel to it and the big bonus is that it really is non-greasy as promised and soaks in quickly and well. It really does leave your hands soft. It is quite expensive to use a lot, especially for those in jobs like nursing where the hands are in and out of water frequently, but excellent at this cold time of year when hands need taht extra bit of TLC. It‘s also handy size for carrying in a handbag.

Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise
I was sent this eco set to review, and am pleasantly surprised. I‘ve always wanted to switch to using organic products but worried they‘d not be as good as other brands. The ony down side for me to this product was that the moisturiser smells rather like grass (A nice enough smell - maybe I was put off because I have hayfever and it reminded me of that?) But my skin really has inmproved! I used the eco set for dry skin, because I‘ve been a bit ill recently and my skin tends to suffer and feel dehydrated. The toner is one of the only toners I‘ve used and not had a stinging sensation where I‘ve actually been able to apply the toner correctly without wincing - must be the benefits of organic :)
Now that my skin is better hydrated, my make-up is going on much more evenly! No patchy bits around the nose (where I had dry skin) woo hooo! I‘ll definitely be buying this again (or asking for a set for my birthday) *hint hint mummy*
