LAVERÉ - a name derived from Verum, Latin for 'The True' and Doré, French for 'Golden'. LAVERÉ - a name reflecting the meaning of golden and true; ultimate quality in a unique range of natural cosmetics.

My name is Klara Ahlers and I played an instrumental role in the creation and development of LAVERÉ cosmetics. Natural cosmetics have been my work and inspiration for many years. It all started in 1988 when I opened the first specialist shop in Germany for natural cosmetics. In 1990 I was appointed Marketing Consultant by laverana, producer of certified natural cosmetics - I am now one of the directors of the company alongside its founder Thomas Haase.

To me, natural cosmetics are part of my everyday life. They are about feeling good about yourself, joie de vivre and enjoying the quality of life. But these are not the only things that are important to me. I also place importance on healthy eating, outdoor activity, and family and friends.

From the moment I started working with natural cosmetics, I realised that customers wanted totally natural skincare products and plenty of options for nurturing their skin and full declaration of ingredients. And these aspects have always been high on my list, together with the environmental aspect of packaging. All these wishes have been fulfilled - our BDIHcertification states us as a provider of genuine, carefully monitored, totally natural cosmetics.

Today customers' expectations of natural cosmetics have moved on, now, if you care about your appearance you want certified natural cosmetics that combines visible effectiveness with the benefits of organic ingredients. So it is with this desire to produce products that are 100% natural and effective - that gave rise to the brand called LAVERÉ.

In 2000, I also found myself looking for a more specific kind of effectiveness - so I turned to the development team at lavera. My question was simple: make me a product out of 100% natural ingredients with the proven effectiveness of an anti-ageing product. Based on their experience with lavera products, they improved the ingredients to incorporate the latest developments from the world of anti-ageing and arrive our very first product: LAVERÉ Hydro-Sensation was born. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength with a variety of new products that have been added to the range. In 2007 it was time to bring these all together under a comprehensive relaunch of the LAVERÉ range:
