The beauty shortlist - NEW! The Morocco Range by Terre d&Oc
A Beauty Shortlist EXCLUSIVE: Terre d'Oc's NEW MOROCCO RANGE
Anti-ageing Elixir (with Organic Argan Oil, Organic Date Extract & Organic Prickly Pear)
When your day and night moisturisers are no longer "performing", it might be time to add a serum to your beauty mix. But which one? Well here's one we've been testing for just a couple of days - quite a bit shorter than usual - but we can tell it's pretty fabulous already.
Terre d'Oc have just launched their new anti-ageing/all skins MOROCCO RANGE so, intrigued by their new Anti-Ageing Elixir with Organic Argan Oil, revitalising Organic Date Extract and anti-ageing Prickly Pear, we had to try it. Prickly Pear (aka Barbary Fig) is exceptionally high in essential fatty acids and is super protective - it takes 10,000 seeds to make a litre of precious oil, all harvested from June to September so it's labour intensive to say the least.
France's iconic natural brand has teamed Prickly Pear with nourishing Organic Argan Oil (another EFA superstar which helps promote skin's hydrolipid layer and maximise elasticity) and the result is a fine, delicate oil (but it's not oily!) which absorbs super-fast into skin leaving a subtle sheen.
We noticed it:
- Makes skin instantly more radiant and glowing (apply and massage in).
- It's formulated to improve elasticity, firmness and hydration.
This might be a great serum for younger as well as more mature skins - it's an "all skins" formulation and would be a great all-season serum, too. Protective in winter but light enough for summer (earmark this one for the beach!)

Terre D'Oc Natural Mascara 32 Black
The product feels thick and gloopy when it comes out of the tube, but applied on the lashes feels quite dry and subsequently dries quickly on the lashes. The mascara brush size is good and I find that it separates the lashes nicely. 2 strokes achieves optimum lashes, a third at a push but that is when I started to notice that it became a bit clumpy.
This mascara really excels in two areas;
- The colour is a really nice rich black.
- Once it has dried it stays put, no flaking or smudging and no drooping. The lashes look as fresh as first applied until you remove the mascara.
I think that the mascara gives good length and makes the lashes look plentiful. All in all I was really impressed with the results of this natural mascara.

The Green Guide to Beauty 2012
My favourite product is the terre d'Oc Natural Lipstick, Shade 201 Rose. Moroccan inspired, this organic lip colour is enriched in argan oil which gives a real softness on the lips. Other ingredients include canrauba wax and musk rose oil to ad protection. As well as conditioning, the lipstick has a great shine.

terre d'Oc Fleur de Source Milky Perfume Cloud
I'm completely besotted with this gorgeous, gorgeous product from organic company Terre d'Oc. It's scented with Plum Blossom giving it a real Japanese feel and is a very delicate perfumed milk spray that gives light-feeling moisture and the beautiful scent of plum blossom. The aroma is gentle and sweet with a fruity backdrop and is utterly lovely. You can also use a couple of spritzes on your hair to perfume it. 67% of ingredients are organically farmed and 99% of ingredients are from natural origin.
The Milky Perfume is part of a Japanese range from Terre d'Oc that officially launches in March/April on www.terredoc.co.uk, although I've found some of it on-line already. Expect to see ingredients such as Hot Spring Flowers, Wakame and Camelia oil to key into traditional Japanese ingredients. I am really excited about this range - it's bang on target for the Asian influences seeping into our beauty vocabulary and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the products. Even the box has an origami element, folding out into a written history of Japanese rituals.
Terre d'Oc are better known for their mineral make up, but the Japanese inspired skin care range is the first of several ranges launching inspired by beauty around the world.
